Shirobasti is an ancient traditional Ayurvedic therapy that comprises the application of warm medicated oil to the scalp and head, encased in a special type of cap to retain the oil in place for a specific duration. The cap is generally made of leather and covers the whole head except the face.
According to Ayurvedic principles of dosha balance, Shirobasti can maintain harmony between the Vata, Pitta, and Kapha doshas, which helps improve our overall health and well-being. It is often used to cure different ailments, such as insomnia, headaches and anxiety disorders.
